Coffee and the fight against skin cancer
In The News

Our love of coffee means we’re even more delighted when we discover a link between coffee and health. Here’s a bit of good news from the AARP website that shines a hopeful light in the fight against basal cell carcinoma: skin cancer’s most common form.

According to the article: “Women who drank more than three cups of caffeinated coffee per day had a 20 percent lower risk of developing the skin cancer than those who drank less than a cup per month. Men who drank the same amount had a 9 percent lower risk.” Like any study, this one is likely to spur yet more research…but with basal cell carcinoma representing 75 percent of all cancers, this is big news.
