Rare Breed's Roasting Magic
This Rwandan coffee is a real chameleon! You can roast it in so many ways, it’s wild. Mike, our head roaster, is a bit of a coffee whisperer. He lets the beans speak for themselves, cupping them to see what they’re all about. Then, he either lets them shine in their natural state, or he might nudge them a bit in a different direction with a specific roast profile.
For our Sleigher blend, we went for a lighter medium roast. We didn’t want to overpower the delicate flavors with a darker roast. This way, you can really taste all the nuances – the bright acidity, the juicy fruit notes, and that smooth, velvety finish. It’s a perfect cup for the holiday season.
